My first job – Luca’s Baptism 29th July 2012

Well,  my first job as a part time photographer.  Was very nervous to start with but gradually relaxed as I started shooting.  When there was a lull I took a quick look at what i’d taken and gradually grew in confidence.  What i’d been learning on my part time courses seemed to come naturally as I went.

The day started with meeting most of the family at the parents house, all of which were lovely and happy to pose for the camera, with and without Luca.  Next it was onto the church a few photo’s during the ceremony (whilst trying to be as quiet and respectful as possible) and group photo’s afterwards.  It was then onto the party for food, drinks, music and presents.  With a strong showing of Italian and a couple of chefs in the family it wasn’t surprising that the food was excellent and plentiful.  I had been warned that I wouldn’t need to eat for 2 days.  I had skipped lunch, but that wasn’t enough!  Luca was very well behaved and continued to pose with friends and relatives throughout the afternoon and evening.

Below is a small selection of what i’ve taken.  As I write this i’m about half way though selecting and tweaking the best shots so I can get them back to Mum and Dad.
