Studio Photography – Audrey Hepburn ish
On the 3rd week of my Studio Photography course I took some portrait shots. The brief was pretty open so when my wife suggested she’d like some Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffanies type shots I was more than happy to give it a go.
After some tuition and test shots in the previous weeks I felt we got on quite well. My wife had got most of the ‘outfit’ from a James Bond themed Christmas works party. The only thing we didn’t organise was a cigarette holder, we used a pencil instead. It was interesting to look through all of the shots in sequence. It’s possible to see how we both started off nervously with awkward poses. As the shoot went on we both relaxed and the shots look more natural, even professional.
I used a ring flash for a few of the shots. I’d not noticed until the lecturer pointed it out, but in one of the shots it looks like my wife is staring at the round eyes of a muppet!
Some of my favourite shots are below.
