Allotment Shoot Three 1st December 2012

I took my first allotment shots to college.  I discussed them with my lecturer who was playing the part of the newspaper picture desk editor and he asked me to go back to the allotment and get a fairly specific shot of the older gentleman leaning on the doorframe of his shade, sort of leaning on a spade.  I was a little bit frustrated about being sent out again, but guess this is part of being a press photographer, to capture exactly what the picture desk editor is after.

A phone call during the week and i’d arranged to meet the older gentleman at the allotment.  He was there when I got there and very happy to oblige.  I was actually really pleased with what I’d got.  I also managed to chat to a few of the other lads there and got one of them to pose, hugging a scarecrow.  Can’t believe he did, but I was really pleased with it.
